Welcome, and thank you for visiting my page.
Taking the first step toward therapy is a courageous act, and you deserve recognition for exploring this path. Starting therapy can feel intimidating—it asks you to be open and vulnerable with someone new. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel comfortable sharing your experiences and challenges. Whether you’re an adolescent, adult, or couple, I’m here to meet you with empathy, integrity, and professionalism as we work together toward growth and healing.
I specialize in supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, and low self-worth, as well as couples experiencing conflict or disconnection. If you struggle with a harsh inner critic, persistent self-doubt, or a sense of being emotionally stuck, I can help you identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns. Together, we’ll work to build greater self-compassion and a more empowered, balanced outlook. For teens and adults who find it hard to regulate or make sense of their emotions, I offer guidance in building emotional insight and developing coping strategies that support resilience and self-awareness.
In my work with couples, I help partners strengthen their connection and communication. Many couples come to therapy feeling unheard, misunderstood, or caught in negative cycles. I work with you to identify these patterns and introduce healthier ways of interacting. Once effective communication is established, we can explore deeper relational issues such as emotional distance, recurring conflict, or loss of intimacy. My approach is grounded in the Gottman Method—an evidence-based model designed to help couples rebuild trust, deepen emotional bonds, and create shared meaning.
Therapeutically, I integrate Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Narrative Therapy. CBT helps you recognize how thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected and offers tools to shift negative thinking patterns. Narrative Therapy empowers you to re-author your personal story, emphasizing the meanings you assign to life events and how they shape your identity. Together, these modalities support emotional clarity, healing, and a stronger sense of self.
I personally am no longer accepting new clients. Wherever you are on your journey, OpenMindedMFT is here to support you with compassion and clinical expertise. You don’t have to do this alone—let me help you take your next steps on this journey with one of my other clinically trained therapists!
